Dr Eleanor, I love the book. It is easy to read and practical. I find it could double as a go-to Manual in the way it addresses the developmental stages while not seeking to be academic. So many mothers are looking for this information without all the technical wording. I like the layout. I could see myself using it to work with parents like the ones for children in our current After School Project at church. The pictures are attractive and suits any culture. Even the recipes, as there are vegetarian options for children at any age. We do not always find this as most times we feel this is not for children.
Dr. Eleanor Wint uses ‘real life’ people as examples in this book. These are mostly people known to the average person as they are internationally known as celebrities and superstars. They might not be our peers but they are people in everyone’s space.
The Holistic nature of parenting which she emphasizes is important, as we need to focus on families and children in that way.
